Building for the Next Generation Update

We are still moving forward!  We hope to give you a progress report in the next 4-8 weeks.  In the meantime, please be in prayer for the Master Planning Team as we consider various alternatives.   Below is a summary of how we’re proceeding.

What we know:

  1. To date our BNG Capital Campaign has raised $1,070,636 in gifts and pledges.  Of that amount, $157,000 has already been given and deposited into our Building Fund.
  2. The Lord is telling our church not to proceed with Phase 1 as presented at this time.
  3. The Lord has moved many within our congregation to invest their time and talents in sacrificially serving us throughout this entire Investigation and Preparation process.
  4. The Lord has moved remarkably in the hearts of our congregation to give sacrificially and generously to BNG.
  5. The BNG Master Plan is sound, has broad support, and thus should be retained for future use.
  6. The BNG Master Plan is going to cost more than originally estimated.
  7. We will rejoice in God’s revealed will!

What we do not know:

  1. We do not know the exact reason or reasons the Lord has stopped us from proceeding with Phase 1 as presented.
  2. We do not yet have a final cost estimate for Phase 1, but soon will.

How We Will Move Forward:

  1. We have a Building Fund that is growing.
  2. The pledges to the BNG are non-binding.
  3. We encourage you to prayerfully consider contributing the amount you pledged to the BNG campaign for the Building Fund.
  4. In the near future (approx 4-8 weeks) we will provide you with an update as we follow the road map marked out for us in our Case Statement.

Our Road Map:

If we are unable to reach our minimum goal of $1,200,000, we will be

unable to pursue Phase I as presented.  In this case, leadership will

carefully review the results of the campaign, including feedback from you,

and then turn to the Lord, in His Word and in prayer, to seek His guidance

for the future.                                     (From Case Statement of BNG Campaign)
